The Great Wall Of China

The Great Wall of China was built circa 7th Century in the Quin Dynasty. During the building, China was split into many different states. After the unification of the states the first emperor of the Quin dynasty formed the other walls of china together. The main reason the wall was built was to protect the various dynasties from raids by Mongol, Turkic, and other nomadic tribes coming in from different areas. The great wall of china was built after the unification of China each nation had there own wall during the separation when they joined the nations placed there walls together. This idea was mainly thought up by Qin Shi Huang, this emperor was also the first emperor of the unified China, he also was the man who created the terracotta army. The building of the great wall stretched from 221bc up until the 1500s, during the making of the wall hundreds of lives were lost. The wall was made to protect China from northern forces and the effect of the wall was fornomamnal they built little holes in the walls were they would fire arrows and cannons.
